If
you are serious about losing weight then one
of the most effective ways of losing weight
and toning up is exercise. For exercise to make
a difference with weight loss you need to work
out a minimum of three (3) days a week. The
exercise also needs to bring your heart rate
up for a minimum of 20 minutes. Most people
who saw a difference said they exercised at
least 3 - 5 days a week for 30 minutes at a
time. They also noted that they did cardiovascular
exercises (exercises that raise heart rate such
as: aerobics, kick boxing, speed walking, etc..)
and toning / weight lifting (such as: free weights,
weight machines, Yoga, Pilate's, etc..). You
don't have to do both Cardiovascular and lifting
/ toning exercises all in one day. But, spread
different exercises out throughout the week.
It
is important to use an Exercise Journal when
you are working out to see results. You should
note the type of exercise and how much time
you spent working out on a given day. When you
use an Exercise Journal you will be able to
see what is working or what is not working towards
your goal. You will also be able to see where
you need to work harder.
Exercise
helps burn more calories. When you burn more
calories you will lose weight at a quicker
pace. Your body will become more tone and
you will feel and be healthier. To find out
